The Agnes is a dramatic mixed-use loft apartment building that combines a 15 foot tall "glass box" restaurant space at its base with 24 double-height open-plan living units above. The project is located at the crossroads of the Pike-Pine corridor and the emerging retail/restaurant row along 12th Avenue. The building was designed by Weinstein A|U and won a 2008 AIA Commendation Award. Sustainability features include dual-flush toilets, a common gas-fired hot water system, and natural ventilation. The Agnes Lofts are a completely smoke-free environment.
The Agnes is named for our dear friend Agnes Washington. Agnes ("Aggie") and her late husband Reginald ("Reggie") owned and operated our properties along 12th Avenue for more than 30 years before they sold them to us in 1999. Agnes is in her 90s and is still going strong!
