Liz Dunn

Liz holds a BMath in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo (Canada) and an MBA from INSEAD (France), and has done graduate coursework in urban policy and sustainability at the University of Washington (Seattle) and the London School of Economics. She worked in a variety of software engineering and product development roles at Microsoft, Microsoft Europe and DreamWorks Interactive, and as an independent consultant to several software and media clients, before starting her real estate development company, Dunn & Hobbes LLC, in 1997.

Liz has served on the Mayor's Green Building Task Force, the Cultural Overlay District Advisory Committee and the Pike-Pine Urban Neighborhood Coalition. She is on the steering committee of the People's Waterfront Coalition and on the board of Capitol Hill Housing, and is past-president of the board of ARCADE Magazine. She is an enthusiastic supporter of Conservation Northwest, Conservation International, Sightline and Grist. In 2007, Liz was made an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects. In addition to leading the company's development projects, Liz is the Consulting Director of the Preservation Green Lab for the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
